First Devlog!

Hey there!

I recently decided to start a devlog for the studio to talk about the progress and games. I don’t know how often I will post knowing myself, but I’ll do my best to make a post every once and a while I have something interesting to talk about.

For anyone new or that doesn’t know me, I am x404, the Founder and Developer for x404 Studios, currently the team is… me, no one else… yet. I have been coding for almost 10 years now! If you can call reproducing youtube videos on your laptop when you were 8 coding… Since then I took many online courses, learned a few programing languages and game development (of course). I play video games… a lot… way too much, so… I made a game studio to give a reason to my gaming addiction.

Regarding the studio’s first announced game Echoes Of The Mythos… well I didn’t start coding it… yet… and I have a few reasons:

1. I am still planning everything, this is the first ‘serious’ game I am doing, and I’m planning on doing it right!
2. I want to publish 1-2 smaller games first to tip my toes in the indie game publishing world.
3. I’m restarting college soon, so I want to figure out how to balance everything first.
4. I’m lazy.

I have a few ideas for smaller games, but I’m not sure which one I’ll do first, I’ll probably make a post about them soon, but they probably be self published under my name, and not x404 Studios, cuz gotta keep the brand clean and fresh! (And then ruin the clean and fresh branding with this devblog where I don’t care about grammar or spelling mistakes, endure them plz)

I have so many things to say yet so little motivation to write, I’ll probably release another devlog soon to talk about the future of the studio and the games.

Also, I recently finished the online store for the studio, I am now in crippling debt because of all the merch I got… I’m joking, I’m not in debt, but I did get a lot of merch, I’ll probably make a post about it soon, but if you want to check it out, you can find it here.
